About Brainzaps
Brainzaps begins as a journey into the world of mental illness, a call for participants who have been diagnosed with a major depressive disorder to engage in research and evaluation of current and potential treatments. A major focus is on the use of medication to treat affective disorders based upon a subject’s response to perceived symptomology and the role of the pharmaceutical companies in marketing treatments for use without any empirical evidence to determine the actual ‘status’ of a patient’s brain functioning.
PET scans, MRIs, blood tests, hair and saliva analysis discussed as potential determinants.
Effects of long term drug intervention, and their impacts on cognitive functioning, genetic modification, and early onset dementia.
